TRIGGER – How climate change affects our health

TRIGGER will identify and analyze direct and indirect impacts of climate change-induced environmental hazards on human health.

The TRIGGER project is a combination of clinical studies and societal initiatives, with a focus on how climate affects our health. As a central part of the project, ‘living-labs’ will be established in five European cities (Bologne, Heraklion, Augsburg, Oulu and Geneve). These ‘living labs’, will monitor the impact that climate change has on local populations health. The Danish Board of Technology will assist in the implementation of the living-labs as well as the further engagement of both citizens of different social groups, and relevant stakeholders in each city.

By working together, we can develop tools and guidelines, that can contribute to policies on how we can handle climate change – now also with a focus on how they impact our health.

The project launches September 1st 2022, and concludes in spring 2027.
